Noland Anderson is a self taught portrait artist who strives to create works of art that are a celebration of people of color. He is known for his detailed compositions in oils applied with loose brush strokes. He often features images of Black women and men engaging in everyday life in urban settings. Born in Newport News, Virginia with roots in Sumpter, SC, Noland's passion for figure drawing was formed at an early age. Noland attended the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale where he received an Associate Degree in Advertising. Upon graduating, he went on to work as a freelance illustrator, designing Judaic art throughout the mid 1990s through early 2000s. During this period, Noland's freelance work extended into television where he worked as one of three court artists for the ABC affiliate in South Florida and as an illustrator for Univision (an American media company serving the  Latin Market worldwide).

Noland is represented by Neema Fine Art Gallery, who recently coordinated the commission of the painting entitled “Transcendent Achievement Through Transformational Leadership". The painting was commissioned by the Spring of 1995 line of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha in commemoration of their 25th anniversary and was unveiled during Florida A&M University’s (FAMU) 2021 homecoming. The original painting of "Transcendent Achievement Through Transformational Leadership" by Noland Anderson is permanently installed on the campus of FAMU. Neema Fine Art Gallery serves as the exclusive producer of reproductions of this celebrated work of art and donates 15% of all sales of limited edition giclee and open edition prints to the Beta Nu Foundation in an effort to support their continuous efforts to serve the needs of the FAMU student body,  and the needs of the surrounding community, as well as promote scholarship among members of the Beta Nu Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. and beyond.
